Honey Moon Named the Next Color for 2011 by Color Marketing Group
Back in December we discussed Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2011, Honeysuckle, and now we’re bringing you reports of the next “it” color for 2011 – Honey Moon! As reported by Sensational Color, Honey Moon is described as “an organic, vintage color – a blend of butter and ochre,” rooted in the contribution honeybees provide to apiculture and agriculture.
Color Marketing Group, or CMG, which is an international association for color design professionals, selected Honey Moon as the next big color for 2011 at the 2010 Fall International Conference. In a press release, CMG stated that this mustard gold is “the grounded hue of optimism.” CMG noted that frivolous is out, and more upbeat and realistic styles and colors are in, which makes Honey Moon a perfect choice.
We here at Schroll Cabinets would love to know what you think about the new “it” color for 2011. Do you think it’s any coincidence that Honey Moon and Honeysuckle were predicted to be the big colors of 2011? Share your thoughts and opinions with us!
